Raising Funds for the Beatson

To help raise awareness, a few weeks before the event we set up a raffle and a Wishing Memorial Tree. The residents got involved making hearts for the tree, heart brooches to sell and decorations for the afternoon tea.
On the day, Tay’s breakout space and dining room were decorated and set up with tables and chairs to accommodate everyone. It was very busy with lots of support from relatives and staff.
Everyone enjoyed the delicious sandwiches and cake and we finished off the afternoon by drawing the raffle. Veronica said she enjoyed making the brooches, whilst Ella thought it was good to help such a worthy cause.There was a lovely atmosphere as we enjoyed our cake and chat. Doris said she enjoyed seeing all the children and everyone together.
Thanks to everyone involved who helped to raise a fantastic £492.48 and to the girls from The Beatson for coming along to collect the cheque and thank us all.
