Dementia Awareness Week 2017
Posted by Lillyburn Care Home
Lillyburn celebrated Dementia Awareness Week 2017, which was one of thousands of events that took place across the United Kingdom, many of which saw people raising and donating money to fight dementia. The money is given to the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.
Lillyburn celebrated Dementia Awareness Week with live music from Morvyn Kerwot, who played lively Scottish tunes on his accordion and got everyone on their feet for a dance and sing along. Mary Keppie and Margaret Roberts had great fun showing everyone how to do some Scottish Country Dancing.
The day was a success as event helped raised awareness about dementia and everyone had a great time singing and dancing.
