All Aboard!

The Seagull Trust welcomed residents aboard the Marjory Seagull today for a lovely sail along the Kirkintilloch Canal. Staff aboard were very helpful and made tea and coffee for the residents to enjoy as they tucked into their packed lunch.
The Kirkintilloch branch of the Seagull Trust was opened in 1983. Originally based near the Townhead Bridge, they now sail from their new centre at Southbank Marina. Sailing along the Kirkintilloch Canal with the Seagull Trust is always a very popular day out.
Residents were greeted by passers-by on the bank and the residents waved back as they sailed by at a leisurely pace. Jim thought was a great day and Jackie said it was lovely to relax and watch the world go by.
