Sail Away With Me

In a joint collaboration, residents from Mosswood and Stanely Park Care Home were pleased to bask in the sunshine together as they sailed along the Forth and Clyde Canal. The trip was provided by the Seagull Trust, who provide free canal cruises to elderly and disabled people.
The keen sightseers enjoyed a lovely chat amongst one another while they savoured their picnic. There were lots to see on the trip, Evelyn and Robert were delighted to see some ducklings, pointing them out as they passed them. It was clear to see the group was a cheery bunch, as they waved every cyclist and dog walker who passed them.
Robert found it very interesting to talk to the skipper, who told him all about the history of the barge. On the way home, Helen let us know that she had a fabulous day out and the other members of the group all agreed.
