Christmas Carers Lunch

Carers enjoyed their Annual Carer’s Christmas Lunch at The Milton of Campsie Bowling Club.
Service users and their families enjoyed a delicious 4 course lunch with drinks included. For starters, there was a choice of Fresh Prawn Cocktail, Melon medley or Pate with oatcakes, followed by Winter Lentil Soup.
The choice of Main Course consisted of Scottish Steak Pie with Potatoes and Veg, or Traditional Christmas Roast Turkey with all the Xmas trimmings. For Dessert, there was a choice of Strawberry Pavlova, Sherry Fruit Trifle or Strawberry Shortcake.
Our Entertainment was provided by a regular performer at Daycare, Scarlet Hart. This was Scarlet’s first year at our Christmas lunch and we recieved great feedback about her amazing voice. Scarlet was top drawer, and the audience thoroughly enjoyed her entertainment and wonderful singing.
We also had a special visit from Santa Claus and his little Elf Joe, who delivered special Christmas gifts.
Teresa Anderson, Daycare Manager, personally thanked the service users, families and staff for their continued help and support throughout 2018, and she is looking forward to a successful and exciting period ahead in 2019.
All in all it was a wonderful day for our service users, their families and Daycare staff alike.
