Use It Or Lose It

There are many benefits of staying active which include: prevention of disease, improved mental health, decreased risk of fall, in addition staying active can reduce anxiety and depression, encourage social engagement and can be lots of fun as well.
Significant health benefits are seen in older adults who participate in regular physical activity. Even people with some existing illness can exercise to improve their condition.
Tony our activity assistant has been encouraging our residents to take part in more physical activity each day. He has been facilitating weekly exercise sessions which involves having fun playing boccia and using the parachute and balloons. Tony is super keen on encouraging our residents to try small things to help with mobility, such as walking to neighbouring home Lillyburn to take part in other activities.
