At Lillyburn Care Home we have our own on-site hair and beauty salon however every now and again our activities team takes residents out to a local salon. This acitivity ensures residents stay connected to former lives and lifestyles is paramount in providing person led care.
Our community links are strong and we strive to build on this more and more. Blossom Hair and Beauty are based in Milton of Campsie, Nikki the proprietor was delighted that we were paying a visit to the salon with a few of our ladies for an afternoon of pampering.
Resident Rubina is a former hairdresser who ran her own salon. She particularly enjoyed having her hair done whilst chatting to staff and relaxing.
Afterwards, residents Rubina and Margaret shared many pleasent comments with Pacific Care staff. Rubina said ‘I feel like a new woman’ and Margaret said ‘that was such a nice treat’.
