Fathers Day Celebrations

Each year we celebrate World Music Day and come together to highlight the various ways we use music to enhance to lives of our residents on a daily basis.
In the past we have hosted Playlist for Life information days, African drumming sessions, live music, and good old-fashioned sing alongs.
This year Music in Hospitals hosted a full day of music and performances on a live stream and some of our residents joined in the fun. We joined a national sing along from 3pm which inspired us to watch a variety of musical concerts on YouTube. We sang, danced and enjoyed a truly memorable afternoon.
Our resident Christine loves music, it helps to calm her down and gives her a focus. She very much enjoyed singing along with the musicians from Music in Hospital and afterwards had fun watching some of her favourite singers on the big screen. Fellow resident Margo said “l love how listening to music cheers everyone up!”
