Lillyburn Care Home is a 40 bedroom purpose-built care home, located at Birdston Road, Kirkintilloch. At the cutting edge of care provision, Lillyburn Care Home provides 24-hour residential and nursing care in a comfortable and secure setting for the frail-elderly person and those with mild to moderate dementia. Our team has a genuine interest in the welfare of the older person and we ensure residents’ individual choice, privacy and dignity at the forefront of our care provision.
Nestled at the foot of the picturesque Campsie Hills in East Dunbartonshire, Lillyburn offers a spacious, homely environment. Bedrooms are thoughtfully grouped around communal areas, fostering a sense of community and familiarity. Our residents and their families often comment on the welcoming, home-from-home atmosphere that characterises Lillyburn. This ambiance is a result of our cosy interiors, enthusiastic staff, and a wide range of engaging daily activities.
Adjacent to Lillyburn Care Home, we are proud to introduce Kintyre dementia unit. Kintyre is a separate building designed to provide specialised dementia care. With 16 bedrooms, it's a place where the highest standards of nursing and personal care are offered to older individuals with dementia, including Alzheimer's and stroke-related dementia.
Kintyre operates in close coordination with Lillyburn Care Home, ensuring that residents have access to the comprehensive services and support that both facilities provide. This integrated approach allows residents to receive the care they need while benefitting from the specialised amenities of Kintyre.
There is a wonderful, happy, homely feel at Lillyburn Care Home, Kirkintilloch, where our team of nurses and carers provide 24-hour nursing care for all of our residents. The 40 tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms, arranged in suites of 10 bedrooms centred around a lounge, kitchen and dining area, each suite feels like a true home-from-home. Our design allows the team to care for a variety of care groups, including frail-elderly, dementia and physical disabilities.
It’s important for our residents wellbeing and happiness that they remain active and engaged, so there’s always plenty of stimulating and enjoyable daily activities available at Lillyburn Care Home Kirkintilloch.
We have excellent links with the community and work closely with local churches, schools and groups, such as Alzheimer’s Scotland and RNIB. Our Activity Team comprises of an experienced, SONAS trained Activities Coordinator and coupled with a core group of local volunteers.
Our purpose-built care home has 40 bedrooms grouped together in a homely manner around a lounge/dining and kitchen area that residents are welcome to use as their own. We prioritise residents’ individual choice, privacy and dignity at the forefront of our care provision.

Our care home is equipped with the latest facilities, including a 24-hour call system, lift access to all floors, wheelchair access throughout the home, spacious lounges and dining areas, quiet rooms and outdoor seating areas, hairdressing salon, chiropody services, and secure gardens for residents to enjoy.
It is paramount that as much normality, diversity and interaction with the outside world is maintained for our residents to feel they are still important and have a place in society.
Relatives are encouraged to participate as much as they can with their loved one and all that goes on in the home, whether it be attending our regular fun events or update meetings with the staff.
